Ed Miliband decides we are not going to get a vote on staying in or leaving the EU?

I agree with you leaving the EU would not harm the UK at all. We would no longer have to give billions to Europe, we would no longer have to provide aid to Ireland, Portugal and Greece. We would return law making to Westminster, a parliament we can vote out of power if we want to. Trade would not be affected because Europe buys from us and we buy from Europe. We would regain control of our fishing grounds and could begin to manage them sustainably, this would recreate a British fishing industry. A recreated industry would provide thousands of jobs from fishing itself to all the different processing plants. We would no longer have to abide by the common agricultural policy which pays our farmers not to grow food (noticed the uncultivated margins to a lot of fields?). Trade barriers between the EU and other countries such as African states would no longer be applicable allowing the UK to conduct fairer trade with developing countries. There are many other reasons why it would be in the UK's interests to leave the EU. A lot of the British people have realised that we would be better off outside Europe which is why none of the three so-called major political parties will ever allow a referendum. From my point of view I also resent Frenchmen, Belgians and all the others telling me what I can and can't do in my own country.
