Looking for the name of a light rock/pop sound maybe from the late 90's early 2000's...?

I am going to be very vague because I only caught some of the lyrics. There is a long "to walk away" before the chorus. In the chorus some of the lyrics I think are "to be with you" or something along those lines. It is a younger guy singing the song. I heard it on a mix station. Please help.
